I just wanted to take a quick second on this Saturday morning to remind you all to be unapologetically yourself and OWN your power. This might be inspire by #internationalwomensday I just loved seeing the positivity that everyone was putting out and it made me think why is this not everyday?
I feel like on International Women's Day, women all come together to talk about our worth, to say own yourself, go women. And I LOVE THAT! But then on any other day, I hear the whispers behind closed doors, the digs and shame that tried to place on others for doing something they wouldn't do. We all struggle with jealousy and if you think you don't... you crazy. There are times where I'm like oh my gosh why is she doing that... why is she wearing that... and it has NOTHING to do with her but with me and my insecurities. I say that's wrong but it's only because maybe I don't have the confidence to do it too. Or, maybe it is really because for me it's just not my thing but who am I to say it's "wrong".
The answer? I am no one. I don't have the authority, right or even place to say what is right and wrong, good and bad. I just need to live my best life and then encourage other women to do the same; however that looks for them. I guess what I am trying to say is, LIFT UP other women every single day. Not just days like International Women's Day. Talk about their amazing qualities, encourage them to keep going, keep fighting. Don't do it one day and then stop the next and instantly turn around and be like, "Oh my gosh... did you see _____?"
Own who you are. Love who you are. And love other women, other people.
I will leave you with this BA quote....
"And one day she discovered that she was fierce, and strong and full of fire and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter than her fears."
